Arvin Lloyd Fore, 77, died Monday, June 9 in Oakdale.

He was born in Newport, Ark. to the late Oda and Sarah (Smallwood) Fore and was raised in the community of Newport.

He was united in marriage to Chris Beaird-New on Nov. 5, 1964. Following their marriage, the couple resided in the greater Stanislaus county area prior to settling in Oakdale in 1974.

Mr. Fore was a rancher and farmer for most of his life, raising cattle, wild mustang horses, and most recently goats. He also was involved in almond harvesting and Christmas trees.

Among his special interests, he enjoyed fishing, horse trail riding, pheasant hunting, camping, and listening to country music.

He is survived by his wife, Chris Fore of Oakdale; children and their spouses, Lloyd and Linda King, Darrell and Vickie King, all of Searcy, Ark., Debbie and Dan Carreira, Geri Fore and Pat Fore, all of Oakdale; siblings, Earl Fore of Riverbank, Rick Fore of Ceres, Lavanda Harrell of Paris, Texas, Helen Farley of Albuquerque, NM; brother-in-law, Robert Beaird of Oakdale; grandchildren, Shari Fore of Modesto, Brandon King, Chase King, both of Sherwood, Ark., Dustin King of Herber Springs, Ark., Desiree Kessler of Point Mogo, Daniel Carreira, Christin Carreira, Kyle Avilla, Paula Tavares, all of Oakdale, Heather Green of Valley Home, Jazzman Fore and Christopher Fore of Oakdale; and eleven great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18 at Lakewood Memorial Park, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson. Friends and family are invited to attend a reception immediately following the service to be held at the Oakdale Saddle Club, 1666 East F St., Oakdale.
