Ascencion Alcantara, 86, of Riverbank died Monday, Oct. 27 at Oak Valley Care Center, Oakdale.
Mrs. Alcantara was a native of Palmar, Zacatecas, Mexico and a resident of Riverbank for eight years. She previously lived in Turlock, Westley and Tracy.
She was a homemaker for 66 years and enjoyed raising birds and gardening.
She is survived by her husband, Angel M. Alcantara of Riverbank; son, Ricardo (Rosie) Alcantara of Stockton; daughter, Martha Valladares of Stockton; grandchildren, Rick, Jr. and Angel Alcantara, Miguel and Carlos Valladares; and great-grandchildren, Alexandria, Xavier, Angel and Lilliana Alcantara.
A rosary was held Oct. 30 at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Patterson. Funeral Mass was held Oct. 31 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Patterson. Interment followed at Patterson District Cemetery.
