Betty Arsenio, 85, died Friday, Oct. 4.

She was a longtime Oakdale resident. She moved to Oakdale in 1969 after marrying William “Bill” Arsenio, local businessperson and owner of Oakdale Napa Auto Parts. She and her husband also owned and operated Riverbank Napa Auto for many years. She lived in Riverbank for the past year.

Mrs. Arsenio was a part time bookkeeper at the Napa Auto parts store and enjoyed working with her husband.

She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing bridge with friends. She spent many years as a member of the Oakdale Golf and Country Club. During which time, she also spent many years as a board member and elected President of the Oakdale Ladies Golf Association.

Her smile and love to socialize brought her many friends who truly loved her. She lived a fulfilled life and was always so proud of her son Patrick Bruce who was the apple of her eye. She will be truly missed.

She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Joey Bruce of Oakdale; granddaughter, Amy Bruce Serna (Tod) Weispfenning of Tracy; great-grandsons, Jordan Serna and Justin Serna of Tracy; stepson, John (Chrissy) Arsenio, Matthew and Nathan, all of Oakdale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Arsenio; son, Patrick Michael Bruce; and mother, Marion Young.

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 17 at Oaklawn Memorial Cemetery, 431 N. Sierra Ave., Oakdale.
