Beverley Gladney, age 97 of Escalon, CA passed on January 14, 2026 due to complications from a respiratory infection. Beverley was born July 23, 1928 in Mariposa County. She was the 12th child born to Robert and Ethel DeMoss. During her childhood she helped on their ranch learning many skills. She learned to hunt to provide meat for the family.

She met John Gladney and they were married in 1951 at the First Church of Christ in Ceres. They moved to Escalon in 1954. Beverley was very artistic and enjoyed painting, decorating wedding cakes, making and decorating porcelain dolls, sewing, gardening and raising her family. She was a member of the Ceres Christian Church for over 70 years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings and her husband, John. She is survived by her children; Vernon (Teresa), Wayne (Kathy), and Shanna Godman (Mark). Grandchildren: Tyrel, Sarah Rinehart (Thomas) and Cory Welch. Great Grandchildren: Tommy Rinehart. Grave site service was at Burwood Cemetery, Friday, January 23, 10 a.m.

A celebration of life will be held this spring at the family ranch.
