Carol May Silva Witt Waddell Tillotson, 84, died Tuesday, Sept. 30 at Legacy at Stratford in Modesto.
She was born in Hughson. Three of her children attended Oakdale High School.
Mrs. Tillotson was active in the community as a member of the Riverbank United Methodist Church, Riverbank Fire Auxiliary, Riverbank Historical Society, Royal Neighbors of America, and the Modesto Horseless Carriage Club. She enjoyed quilting, painting and cruising in classic cars.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Jim Tillotson; five children and their spouses, Joan Witt and Chris Miller, of Fairbanks, AK, Sylvia and John Blan of Los Lunas, NM, Phyllis and Dan Reeves of Riverbank, Lela and Stan Holland of Brooks, and Phillip and Donna Waddell of Friant; siblings, Arlene Mattos of Modesto, Leo Silva of Riverbank and Bill Silva of Modesto; nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by Bill Witt and Phillip F. Waddell.
Graveside services were held Oct. 3 at Lakewood Memorial Park.
Oakdale Memorial Chapel in charge of services.
