Charlie W. Morisoli, 82, died Tuesday, April 9.
He was born in Modesto to John and Sophia Rusconi Morisoli.
He graduated from Oakdale High School and was a member of Oakdale FFA.
Mr. Morisoli retired from Riverbank School District after 37 years as a supervisor but was best known as “Charlie the bus driver” to thousands of students and he loved them all.
Also during the good old days, he served on the Riverbank Volunteer Fire Department. He stayed active with his custom tractor work and love for his livestock. He enjoyed the Goodtime Accordion Club and his lifetime membership of the Stanislaus County Swiss Club.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Anita (Butterfield) Morisoli; daughters, Joyce and Janice; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Johnny; and sister, Hazel.
Visitation and remembrance were held Monday, April 15 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Private graveside services.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be made to the C. Morisoli FFA Memorial, Oak Valley Community Bank – Escalon branch, 1910 McHenry Ave., Escalon, CA 95320. It is a scholarship for Oakdale High School FFA members. Remembrances may also be made to Community Hospice, 2201 Euclid Ave., Hughson, CA 95326.
