Cindy was born May 13, 1959 in Modesto, CA and died May 1, 2022 in Saint Anthony, ID at the age of 62.

Cindy was the first born of five children to parents Austin Maxwell and Ruby Hunt Maxwell and was their pride and joy. As a young child Cindy resided with her family in Empire and attended Empire Elementary School where she had many friends. In her youth, she was continually active in her community and worked from a very young age. Cindy was a member of Brownies, Girl Scouts and 4-H Club. Cindy saved her babysitting money and rented the Community Center in Empire where she would hold dances and charge for admission. These dances were popular, and she always made a good profit and brought delight to her community.

Cindy and her family relocated to Oakdale in 1970 where she continued her education and graduated from Oakdale High School, Class of 1977. She then attended Modesto Junior College to study accounting.

Cindy had many careers. While still in high school, she started her professional work as a candy striper at Oak Valley Hospital and then moved into the kitchen as a staff member. She worked at Ferrarese’s Deli while also working at DMV in Modesto. Through all her career changes she was taking accounting courses and finally made the jump to a full-time position at Tri-Valley Growers in the accounting department. After leaving Tri-Valley she decided to start her own business where she did lien sales for auto wrecking yards and car dealerships. Always the entrepreneur, this was a successful venture for her. At one time she worked three jobs at the same time: Ferrarese’s, Tri-Valley Growers and Hawk Crop-Dusters. All this whilst maintaining a highly active social life.

In 1983 Cindy gave birth to her own pride and joy, her son, Matthew Ulrich. Cindy’s life took an unexpected turn due to medical issues and her active lifestyle was put on hold. She relocated to be near family in Rexburg, ID in 2010. She made many friends in her new community and she will be greatly missed. Her lifelong interest in reading gifted Cindy with an unparalleled knowledge on multiple subjects, she was a whiz at Jeopardy and all trivia games. Cindy’s lifelong interests included cooking, gardening, photography, calligraphy, reading, and road trips, especially trips to the ocean and to Yellowstone.

Cindy was predeceased by her mother Ruby, sister Suzanne, and her great nieces Hudson and Blake Sausser. Cindy is survived by her beloved son and daughter-in-law Matthew and Meranda Ulrich of Oakdale, her father Austin Maxwell, her sisters Sandra Maxwell Hanson (David) and Leigh Maxwell, all of St Anthony ID, her sister Lori Maxwell Albertoni (Bob) of California as well as nieces and great-nephews in Idaho and California. Her extended family affectionately called her Ninny. Cindy, until we see you in heaven and hold your hand again, please rest easy, and we will take comfort in knowing that you are now pain free.
