Employed with City of Oakdale Parks and Recreation for 32 years
David enjoyed digging in the earth, getting his hands dirty, planting and trimming plants and flowers while meeting and greeting people, friends and family. After retirement he continued planting for Steve and Cindy at House of Beef. In earlier years he loved fishing, water skiing, playing pool, bowling and photography. David loved animals and helping people around town. He was a quiet guy that kept mostly to himself. He loved mom’s fried chicken, spaghetti and tuna sandwiches.
Preceded in death by his parents Naomi Diez, Karl Diez, Chuck and Rita Burk. Survived by sisters Diane (Larry) Randazzo of Oakdale; Ellyn (Tom) Fox of Livermore; Patty (Dan) Quinn of Oregon; nieces Kristy McFadden, Heidy Bowers of Oakdale; Hayley Hall of San Francisco; nephew Sam Fox of Livermore; Great nieces Aislinn McFadden, Olivia Bowers, and Gabrielle Bowers, all of Oakdale.
In Honor and Memory of our brother and uncle, a Celebration of Life will be held at Cow Track Lounge, Oakdale on Saturday, Dec. 4, 2021, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
