Born October 16, 1941 in Modesto, CA, Dolores was the daughter of Herbert J. Althoff and Daisy M. Hyer. She was raised on the family farm which was home to several generations of Althoff, and a variety of farm animals. She graduated from Thomas Downey High School, she was FFA Sweetheart May 1959, she worked for Moorse Business Farms and Memorial Hospital.

She is survived by her husband Jerry Hamby of Modesto. Brother Gene, nephew Ron, niece Elia Mark Hamby, Megan, Kels and nephew Derk.

Funeral Services were held at Lakewood Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 900 Santa Fe Ave., Hughson, CA, 95326. In lieu of flowers the family asks that remembrances be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA, 95356.
