Dora Salinas Alaniz, 75, of Riverbank died Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2004, at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto.

Mrs. Alaniz was a native of Edingburg, Texas, and lived in Riverbank 34 years. She retired as a cannery worker from Escalon Packers after 30 years. She was a member of St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church. She enjoyed polka dancing, cooking, family and gambling at Black Oak Casino.

She is survived by her husband, Maximino Alaniz of Riverbank; children, Pablo Alaniz of Oakdale, Antonio Alaniz, Miguel Alaniz, Rosalba Ramos and Eva Perez, all of Riverbank, Eloy Alaniz of Salinas and Juan Alaniz, Adan Alaniz and Angie Alaniz, all of Turlock; brothers, Jose Salinas, Adan Salinas and Abel Salinas, all of Edingburg; sisters, Anita Garza of Edingburg and Eva Leal of Mexico; 20 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The rosary was held Sunday, Sept. 12, at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson. A Mass was held Monday, Sept. 13, at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church. Burial at Lakewood Memorial Park.
