Doug Alan Lemons, beloved father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, passed away peacefully on November 12th, 2020 at the age of 58.
Doug was born on May 4th, 1962 to Jim and Sharon Lemons in Placerville, CA, and spent most of his life in the Oakdale/Sonora area.
A many-talented man, Doug worked as a truck driver, a logger, a heavy equipment operator and a farmer. Although he did not have an extensive formal education, Doug had a natural talent for making things work; he could pull a piece of equipment apart in the backyard and put it back together without a repair manual or help. Doug enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, and spending time with friends.
Doug is survived by his mother, Sharon Lemons, his daughters Meghan (Steve) McCoy and Morgan Lemons, grandchildren Stella and Buster McCoy, and Bo Lemons, his brother Brian (Kelly) Lemons, niece Katie Lemons and nephew Walter Lemons, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
Doug was a friend to all; he never met a stranger.
Due to concerns related to COVID, there will not be a memorial at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
