Edward L. Harris, 78, of Tuolumne died Saturday, July 18 at Sonora Regional Medical Center.
Mr. Harris was a native of Stockton. He lived in Riverbank 58 years prior to moving to Tuolumne a few months ago.
He served in the U.S. Navy. He was a professional photographer for 40 years.
He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church, VFW, Stanislaus Professional Photography Association, and the Professional Photographers of America. He was a past city council member for the City of Riverbank.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma 'Fay' Harris of Tuolumne; son, Edward Harris, Jr. of Tuolumne; stepsister, Elizabeth Nickels of Modesto; stepbrother, Roland Harris of Utah; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral was held July 27 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Burial followed at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella.
