Elmo W. Talbert, 70, of Riverbank died Thursday, June 9 at Memorial Medical Center.

A native of Riverbank, he lived in Fremont for 34 years prior to moving to Riverbank 36 years ago.

He was a pressman at Continental Can Company, Hayward for 34 years. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, Royal Neighbors of America and the First Missionary Baptist Church. He graduated from Oakdale High School in 1953.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Talbert of Riverbank; son, Bennett Talbert of Riverbank; sisters, Gertrude Bliss of Napa, Billie Jean Odom of Modesto; brother, Kenneth Preston of Stockton; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Hutson.

Graveside service will be held on Wednesday, June 15 at 2 p.m., Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Visitation was held on Tuesday, June 14.
