Eva Maxine Miller, 86, died peacefully Sunday, Nov. 16 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House, Hughson, with her son and daughter by her side.

She was a native of Kansas and lived in Oakdale for 42 years.

Mrs. Miller worked as a cashier at local grocery stores for 31 years.

She was a member of the Escalon Presbyterian Church, Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 2922, Gladys Lemmons Center Grandmother's Club.

She was a loving mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending holiday gatherings with her family and friends.

She is survived by her children, Terry Russell of Oakdale, Mike Russell of Valley Home, David Russell, and Barbara Bumgarner, both of Escalon; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21 at Oaklawn Memorial Park.

No visitation.
