Frances Ann Flores, 67, died peacefully at her sister's home in Modesto on Thursday, Aug. 5, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

She was born on March 13, 1943 in Palo Alto and had been a resident of Santa Clara County for a very long time. She was employed at Tantam Computers in Cupertino and then moved to Oakdale about 10 years ago.

She was devoted to her family whom she loved deeply, supporting and loving them with her happy, go with the flow, glass half full, warm and caring personality.

Survivors include her husband, Clarence of Ripon; children, Joseph Flores and his wife Elaina of Sunnyvale, Alfred Flores of Oakdale and Tracy Frye of Merced; mother, Frances Marks of Escalon; grandchildren, Jamie Crain, Joey Flores, Jacob Crain, Joshua Flores, Jordan Flores, Jillian Frye, and Justin Flores; siblings: Tony Lawrence of Escalon, Eileen Long of Riverbank, Pauline Anderson of Atwater, Rose Shannon Pereira of Modesto, Alfred Marks Jr. of Escalon and Albert Marks of Manteca.

She was preceded in death by her father Joe Lawrence in 1947, stepfather Alfred Marks in 1997 and her sister Josephine Satterlee in 1989.

A service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 11 at the Escalon Covenant Church at 11 a.m., with burial following at St. John's Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers and in loving memory, donations may be sent to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356.
