Gary Lynn Gaddy, 70, passed away due to complications from a sudden illness on Wednesday, Aug. 14, 2013 at Memorial Medical Center with his family by his side.

He was born Aug. 28, 1942 in Arizona but spent most of his life in California.

He served in the U.S. Navy and earned numerous degrees culminating in a Master of Science Degree in System Management.

He worked 26 years as a Quality Control Engineer in the Silicon Valley. He moved to Riverbank in 2005 and along with his wife became a business owner in Modesto.

Mr. Gaddy was a hardworking man, devoted father and loving papa. He will be forever missed and his family regrets not having more time to spend with him.

The family gives special thanks to all the nursing staff in the ICU at Memorial Medical Center for their care and kindness during a very difficult time.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Kathryn; daughters Michelle (Chad) Everson, Stephanie (Johnny) Trujillo; and grandsons Daniel and Nicholas Trujillo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister.

A memorial service to honor his life and legacy will be held at a later date.
