Grace Angarole was born in the Dominican Republic. At just one year old, she came to the United States with her parents, who sought asylum following her father’s opposition to Rafael Trujillo’s dictatorship of the country.
Grace grew up in New York City, where she lived until the age of 23, when she married Arthur Angarole and moved to Chicago. Together they had three sons – Michael, David, and Philip – each born a year apart. The family later settled in California, where Grace and Arthur (Andy) raised their boys to be strong, compassionate Christian men who made them deeply proud.
Grace was known for her remarkable organization and dedication, culminating in a distinguished career as an executive assistant to NASA executive at Moffett Naval Air Station.
She is survived by her three beloved sons, as well as eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Grace was dearly loved and passed away peacefully at home at the age of 96, surrounded by her family.
A graveside service will be conducted January 24, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Los Gatos Memorial Park, 2255 Los Gatos-Almaden Road, San Jose, CA. A memorial gathering will be immediately following at San Jose Clubhouse, 15480 Union Ave., San Jose, CA.
