Jared August Hagemann, 25, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 28 while he was on duty at Ft. Lewis, Wash.

He attended Riverbank High School and graduated from Ripon High School in 2004.

From the time he was a little boy he always dreamed of being in the military and enlisted in the Army after graduating high school. He advanced quickly and became a ranger right after boot camp and at the time of his passing his title was Army Ranger, Staff Sergeant. He loved the Army and our country and served eight tours in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Mr. Hagemann loved the outdoors and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, four-wheeling, rock climbing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, as well as baseball and football.

He is survived by his wife, Ashley Hagemann; children, Noah and Parker all of Yelm, Wash.; parents, Steve and Janae Hagemann; brother, Clayton Hagemann; sister, Haley Hagemann, all of Ripon; grandparents August and Linda Hagemann of Oakdale; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Nadine Kauwe of Livermore.

A celebration of life service will be at 10a.m. on Friday, July 15 at Deegan Ripon Memorial Chapel with burial following at Burwood Cemetery, Escalon.

Remembrances may be made in his memory to your local hunting club or to a VFW of your choice.
