Jean (Bains) Most, 83, of Oklahoma died Tuesday, Aug. 11 with her family at her side.

She was born in Chelsea, OK to Jesse Cecil and Mattie Bains.

She married Charles Wagstaff in 1946, and had two children, Jerry and Jeanne. In 1962, she became a widow and remained a single parent until 1974 when she met Bill Most at their 30-year Chelsea High School reunion. They married in 1974, and were only a few months short of celebrating their 35th wedding anniversary this year.

She and Bill lived in Riverbank for 27 years where he owned a business.

Marrying Bill, she became a step-mom to Bill's daughter, Judy and son-in-law, David. She was equally blessed when she and Bill's first grandchild, Jason, was born on their second wedding anniversary. Many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren have also played an important part in her life. She and Bill loved going to their school activities and sporting events throughout the years.

She was extremely proud of her Cherokee heritage. In years past, she had been active in the Eastern Stars, serving as a Past Worthy Matron and as a Past Noble Grand of the Rebekah Lodge.

Mrs. Most was a classy lady, who adored her husband, children, and grandchildren. She always had a sweet smile and a warm hug for those in her life, especially the little ones, and would offer words of encouragement when needed. She loved fellowshipping with her church family at the Cowboy Junction Church in Vinita, OK. With the Lord's help, she showed dignity and grace when facing adversities in her medical condition during the last couple of years. She will be sorely missed by her family, and the many people whose lives she touched.
