Jeanie was born in Wallace, ID on December 1, 1946 and passed away October 11, 2023 in Oakdale, CA.

Jeanie grew up in Susanville, California and then attended high school at Milo Academy in Oregon, and three years of college at Walla Walla University in Washington State. Jeanie was a long-time resident of Oakdale. She worked in secretarial positions at Oak Valley Community Hospital for many years and developed many long term friendships there as well as throughout the Oakdale community. She passed away peacefully at her home following a two-year long illness. Great friends and neighbors sustained her joy, peace and support during her illness. The family wishes to recognize and share their great thanks for the tremendous loving support extended during her illness and passing.

She is preceded in death by her parents Carlyle and Wauneta Abbott of Oakdale. She is survived by her husband Steve Mahaney of Oakdale, daughter Jodi (Swanberg) Sceville of Oakdale, step-daughters Christine Higgenbotham and Sherrie Deberry, brother, Alan Abbott of Oakdale, two grandchildren, four step grandchildren, and four step-great-grandchildren.
