Lois Cylena Hendrix-Baughman, 83, died Wednesday, Nov. 10.

She lived in Riverbank for more than 50 years. She also resided in Valley Springs for about nine years, then moved to Escalon in 2002 where she resided until her passing.

Mrs. Hendrix-Baughman was a housewife, was always ready to help others and was a fantastic cook.

She was a great seamstress, crocheting beautiful doilies and afghans.

She believed in the power of prayer and had a heart of gold.

She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, T.J. Baughman of Escalon; son, Robert (Carolyn) Hendrix of Valley Springs; daughter, Cheryl Winter of Riverbank; sister, Thelma Frank of Escalon; five grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband of 43 years, Edmon Myrl Hendrix; and great-granddaughter, Alivia Hope Nobles.

Visitation was held Nov. 14 at Deegan Funeral Chapel, Escalon. A memorial service was held Nov. 15 at Trinity Church, Assembly of God, Escalon. Burial followed at Burwood Cemetery.
