Lowell Eldon Pruit, 69, of Oakdale died Wednesday, Feb. 16 at Oak Valley Care Center.
A native of Oklahoma, he lived in Oakdale for 44 years. He owned Pruit's Repair Service for 34 years. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a longtime Deacon at First Missionary Baptist Church of Oakdale.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Pruit of Oakdale; children, Larry Pruit of Oakdale, Tammy McIntyre of Waterford, Penny Greener of Turlock, and LaDean Burnett of Modesto; sisters, Aillean Eikan and Glenda Hull, both of Texas, Kay Keith of Nevada; brothers, Elmer Pruit and Archie Pruit, both of Oklahoma, Donald Pruit of Riverbank; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held on Monday, Feb. 21 at Oaklawn Memorial Park. No visitation.
