Margaret Lindgren
Margaret Aldah Lindgren, 88, of Escalon passed away at home on Feb. 15, 2013.
She was born in Marysville and had lived in Escalon for 66 years. Her husband, Nels, built her home, which she lived in for 66 years. They shared an egg business there for many years as well.
She enjoyed homemaking. She was an excellent cook and made her own bread. Her passion for gardening was evident in her yard, and she loved watching things grow. Her specialty was her herb garden.
Another great enjoyment came from the time she spent sewing for family and friends. She made everything from drapes and bedspreads to wedding dresses. She made a quilt for each marriage and birth in the family.
Mrs. Lindgren was a caring and loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.
Survivors include her children, Aldah Johnson of Escalon, Clifford Lindgren of Aromas, CA, Carolyn Scoles of Oakley, CA, Walter Lindgren of Modesto and Curtis Lindgren of Escalon; 15 grandchildren and two step grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and six step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Nels; son Stanley and daughter Rhoda Lindgren.
No services.
A Celebration of Life will be held April 13 at her home.
Interment was at Burwood Cemetery, Escalon.
