Mark Eric Whitemyer passed away at the age of 72 on April 25, 2022. Mark was born to Derrell and Marybeth Whitemyer. He graduated from Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, CA in 1968. He graduated from Kings Point Merchant Marine Academy in New York in 1972. He married Kim Miguel in 1973. He was a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was an active faithful member for over 40 years. Mark and Kim were sealed for time and all eternity in the Oakland Temple in 1974.

He served as a Fremont, CA police officer for six years. After hurting his back and being impressed with the help of a local Chiropractor he decided to change careers and attended Palmer College of Chiropractic West from 1978-1982. He opened his Chiropractic office in Fremont called Sunrise Chiropractic with Dr. John Loero, and he practiced there until 1994 when he opened a new Chiropractic office, Whitemyer Chiropractic in Oakdale, CA after relocating there with his family.

He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2009 and worked hard to stay fit and fight his Parkinson’s by swimming laps, boxing and exercising. He fought for almost 14 years. Mark leaves behind Kim, his wife of 49 years. (Whom he was devoted to and loved more than anything … (even Ultimate Frisbee), his seven children: Bryan (Kinda), Jennifer (William Schwartz), Eric, Scott, Mindi (Nathan McAllister), Kristin (Timothy Worley), Sarah, (Danny Cook), 24 grandchildren, his siblings, Derrell Whitemyer (Carol), Jan Whitemyer (Lynette), Mary (Craig Seavers), Eric Miguel, John Miguel (Kelly), James Miguel (Susan), and many other relatives.

A Celebration of Life was held April 30, 2022 in Nampa, ID.
