Michael Favero, 94, of Riverbank, died Friday, Dec. 10 at Oak Valley Hospital.

A native of France, he lived in Riverbank for 60 years. He worked at Schenley Distillery for 30 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church, Italian Catholic Federation and the Dante Club.

He is survived by his children, Carole Anderson of Riverbank and Joseph Cozzo of San Gabriel; sister, Vera Russo of Pittsburg; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Favero; brothers, Blodgett Favero and Leo Favero; sister, Edith Richetta.

Rosary will be said on Thursday, Dec. 16 at 9 a.m. at St. Frances of Rome Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 15 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Riverbank Memorial Chapel.
