Mildred L. Vaughn, 91, of Escalon passed away on Thursday, July 31 at Vintage Faire Nursing & Rehab. in Modesto. Born on Sept. 30, 1916, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, and visiting with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Jim and Shirley Vaughn of Escalon, Jeanette Stewart of Modesto, and John and Sharon Vaughn of Escalon; her grandchildren, Sherrie Lee of Manteca, Doug Vaughn of Tennessee, Andrea Keyser of Oakdale, Cheryl Nelson of Riverbank, Jerod Focha of Oakdale, Heather Quaschnick of Oakdale, Alan Vaughn of Oregon and Philip Vaughn of Escalon; 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Clayton Vaughn who passed away in 1985, her daughter Janet Baker who passed away in 1999, and her brothers Glen, Donald and Harold Capron.

A graveside service will be on Thursday, Aug. 7 at 10:30 a.m. at Burwood Cemetery, 28320 East River Road in Escalon.
