Chrys Copp departed this world on June 3, 2024, surrounded by family. Born on February 17, 1948, in San Francisco to Nina and Paul Ennor, her family later moved to Lafayette, CA, where Chrys graduated from Del Valle High School in 1964. In 1968, Chrys graduated with a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science from the University of the Pacific. While studying at UOP, Chrys met her husband, Hal Copp (PharmD, UOP ’70). In 1974, Chrys and Hal made their home in Oakdale, CA. Chrys worked as a medical technologist for 20 years, 15 of them at Oak Valley Hospital in Oakdale. In 1988, Chrys embarked on a new career as owner/operator of a successful chain of Hallmark Gold Crown stores across the Central Valley and Sacramento region for over 25 years. Chrys was well-respected within the Hallmark organization and served multiple terms on the Hallmark Gold Crown Advisory Board.
