Peter John 'Pete' Genova, 69, died Thursday, June 19 in his sleep at home.

He was born in St. Louis, MO to Vito and Nina Genova.

He was self-employed and owned A.M.I. Models in Oakdale. He made scale models of housing developments. In addition, he worked extensively with various golf enterprises designing tee markers, benches, and hole-in-one plaques, which he thoroughly enjoyed.

His biggest achievements were making models of the Bart Transit System, Doctor's Hospital in Modesto, and the rebuilding of Don Pedro Dam.

He loved cars and sports, especially golf. He was a charter member of the Oakdale Golf and Country Club.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Hollar Genova of Hood; brother, Dominic (Betty) Genova of Modesto; sister, Joann Genova (David) Kochevar of Oakdale; nieces, Angelia Genova (Darren) Liepelt of Galt, and Sabrina Kochevar Vierra of Modesto.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
