He was a native of Ontario, California and lived in Riverbank for 11 years.
He had worked as a welder.
He is survived by his wife, Helen J. Meras of Riverbank; children, Alice Gonzales of San Jose, Anita Meras of Ontario, Annette Estrada, Mark Meras, both of Riverbank, Raul Meras, Jr. of Chino, Gustavo Meras of San Bernardino; sisters, Carmen Galvan of Rialto, Jesse Gomez of Mont Clair, Rose Hernandez of Ontario, Katherine Vennel of Victorville, Dolores Galvan of Riverside; brothers, Richard Meras of Sacramento, Joe Otto of Victorville; 21 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
