Richard Dale McGinnis, 60, died Tuesday, Jan. 8 at his Riverbank home.

Mr. McGinnis had served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He owned Mac's Backhoe Service for 26 years. He attended the Revival Center United Pentecostal Church in Modesto.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon McGinnis of Riverbank; children, Tasha Shoemake of San Jose, Richard 'Scott' McGinnis of Oakdale; sister, Kathleen DeMoss of Modesto; brother, Keith McGinnis of Empire; mother, Katheryn McGinnis of Modesto; and three grandchildren.

Burial with honors will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 18 at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery. Funeral services were held Jan. 12 at the Revival Center United Pentecostal Church, Modesto.

Oakdale-Riverbank Memorial Chapels in charge of arrangements.
