Rita Ann Graham, 72, of Oakdale died Tuesday, July 7.

She was born in Defiance, IA to John and Bernadine Mc Andrews. She attended Riverbank schools and graduated from Oakdale High School in 1954.

In 1964 she married the love of her life, Don Graham. She and her husband were blessed with two children.

She worked as an Instructional Aide at Fair Oaks Elementary School for 22 years.

Mrs. Graham loved to travel with her children and grandchildren especially on family vacations to Disneyland, along with hunting trips to Idaho and Montana. She enjoyed excursions with countless friends visiting places that included Washington, D.C, Branson, MO, and Nashville, TN. Besides her love of traveling she enjoyed watching her children trapshoot, visiting with friends, and attending her "Get Wet" water therapy class.

She was known for her expertise with a needle and thread. Many a prom dress, bridesmaid dress, and countless alterations passed through her sewing room.

She was committed to her faith and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Paulette Graham; son, David (Stacy) Graham; two brothers; and grandsons, Donnie and David.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; parents, John and Bernadine; and brother, Charles.

Visitation and rosary were held July 9 at Oakdale Memorial Chapel. Mass was held July 10 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Oakdale.
