ROBERT FIELDS

Robert Fields, 63, of Oakdale, California passed away in early November.
On November 5, 2021, this world lost a loving husband, son, dad, brother, papa, uncle, best friend, toughest MX racer and much more. Robert lived his life to the absolute fullest and developed many wonderful relationships along the way. He had a well-known talent of repairing and restoring cars from top to bottom. Robert was still a kid at heart and continued racing his dirt bike with no signs of slowing down. At 63 years young, he could clear tabletops, fly over a whoop section and lap fellow riders younger than him. He also enjoyed taking his family to Yosemite for hikes and bike rides and had hiked to the top of Half Dome for the fourth time on his last birthday. He loved road trips and dropping in to visit friends and family along the way.
Robert was also a proud papa of six grandchildren with another grandson on the way. Out of the titles he held throughout his life, being called Papa was his favorite. Robert was loved by so many and his wife Vicky, was his heart and soul. They were together for 42 years and just shy of their 40th wedding anniversary. Our hearts are forever broken over the loss of Robert. He is survived by his devoted wife Vicky Fields; his mother, Mary Fields; daughters, Lydia Fields, Roxanne Fields and Sheila Franco (Danny); grandchildren, Victoria, Jesse, Nathan, Chevelle, Easton, Seth and Robert; all of Oakdale. He is also survived by his siblings, Ben Perez of Indio, Debra Galaviz of San Jose, Deanna Jeffcoats of Morgan Hill, Sandra Rodriguez of Ceres, Michael Murphy of Cheshire, Oregon, Tom Acevedo of Penn Valley, Chris Fields of Adams, TN, John Fields of Ventura and Colleen Prina of Albuquerque, NM. Robert also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. Robert was preceded in death by his father Ruel Fields and younger brother, Danny Fields.
A service is planned for June 2022, which will be followed by a celebration of Robert’s life at his family home in Oakdale. Please contact our family for details. We greatly appreciate the love, support and prayers we have received from so many who knew and loved him.
