Robert Louis Rebideaux peacefully passed on from this world surrounded by his loved ones on October 24th, 2015 in Modesto, California.
Robert is survived by five of his children: Patricia Jean Nydahl, Deborah Lynn Frank, Linda Kay Sousa, Ladina Renee Cobarrubia, and Christenia Marie Rebideaux-Patterson, along with his 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his loving wife Christena Maranda Rebideaux and his dear son Curtis Lee Jackson.
Robert was born on July 17th, 1936 in Bisbee, Arizona to Martin Charles Rebideaux and Martha Marie Smith. From early on in his life, Robert was a fighter. He built his entire life from nothing and worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He married the love of his life, Christena and purchased a home in Escalon, California to settle down in. Robert began working for Ralph’s Garage as an Auto-Mechanic until his retirement. He also was a highly skilled carpenter and often built and restored antique furniture.
“To know him was to love him” was often used to describe the kind and generous man that Robert was. He was always the first one to offer a helping hand, and was the rock that kept his family strong. He will be truly missed by all who knew him and though his earthly body may be departed from this world, his soul has traveled home to join his Heavenly Father where he will continue to guide us from above.
There will be a graveside service held at Copperopolis Cemetery on Saturday November 7th 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Copperopolis, California with a private reception to follow. In lieu of flowers and gifts Robert would ask that you make a donation to the ASPCA. You may do so by visiting www.aspca.com/team/RobertsMemory.
