Roger Dean Smith, 55, died Friday, Oct. 24 at Alexander Cohen Hospice House.
He was a native of Oakdale and lived in Valley Home all his life.
Mr. Smith was an owner-operator of his own trucking business for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Regy Smith of Valley Home; children, Charles Smith of Keyes, Jeffery Smith of Riverbank, Timothy Pace and Amanda Pace, both of Oakdale; sister, Sandy Fife of Waterford; brother, Barry Smith of Sonora; mother, Doreen Wallace of Valley Home; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29 at St. John's Lutheran Church, Valley Home, with burial to follow at Valley Home Memorial Park.
Remembrances may be made to Community Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto, CA 95356.
