Thelma Sue Frank of Escalon passed away peacefully on December 26, 2016 and entered the Gates of Heaven joining her beloved husband.
Thelma grew up in Riverbank and eventually settled in Escalon, where she met her loving husband of 46 years, Russell E. Frank. They were happily married and leave behind two children, Rick Frank (Becky) of Torrington, Wyoming and Neoma Luke of Modesto, Ca. She was a beloved Wife, Mother and Nanny to many.
She also leaves behind five grandchildren whom she loved beyond words, Eric Frank of Modesto, Lorna Martin (Aaron) of Escalon, Cory Frank of Modesto, James Mancebo Jr. of Manteca and Jason Mancebo of Modesto, and had six great-grandchildren she loved very much, Sydney and Chase Frank, Kassie Evans, Sophia and Noah Martin and Cheyenne Mancebo, and daughter-in-law Debbie Jackson of Riverbank and son-in-law Scott Luke of Lodi.
Thelma was the daughter of Sallie and Charlie Harris of Riverbank and was the youngest of 11 siblings, all of whom preceded her in death.
Thelma and Russell lived most of their lives in Escalon raising their two children and ran multiple family owned businesses including McDowell and Frank towing and auto repair. Thelma was very active in her church teaching Sunday School and leading worship at Pentecostal Tabernacle in Escalon, where she was known as Grandma to all whom attended. Thelma loved the Lord and we are rejoicing knowing she is back in the arms of all those she missed. While there will forever be a void in our hearts the day she left us we know she is home.
Services celebrating Thelma’s life will be on Friday, January 20 starting at 10 a.m. at the Pentecostal Tabernacle Church, 1400 First Street in Escalon, reception to follow. Her final resting place will be Burwood Cemetery.
