Wallace (Wally) C. Bellin, age 95, passed away in his home on June 27, 2015 after a short illness surrounded by his family. Wallace was born in North Dakota in 1920 to Richard and Martha Bellin. He married Ada Trittin and together they had six children and were married 73 years. In Wallace’s younger days in North Dakota he was a farmer. He loved fishing and hunting. He was a World War II Navy veteran and belonged to the “Last Man’s Club.”
In 1957 Wallace and Ada sold their North Dakota possessions, packed up their children and drove to Oakdale, CA in their 1950 Ford to live with Wallace’s father. While in Oakdale he worked for Anderson Box Factory and retired from Hershey Foods after 20 years as a mechanic. In retirement, he enjoyed his family, driving back to North Dakota to visit family and friends, woodworking, cooking, growing vegetables and fruit trees in his backyard. He was a farmer at heart. He also loved talking to people, especially about the old days on the farm.
He was a proud father and loving husband.
