Wanda Lee Wallace, 77, died peacefully in her sleep on Friday, April 6 at her Riverbank residence.

She was born the second child of eight siblings to William Francis Nelson and Etta Mae Geren in Buleah, Mo. She moved to California in 1941 and lived in the Riverbank-Oakdale area ever since.

She married Raymond H. Wallace in Riverbank on Aug. 21, 1950 and they had eight children together as well.

She is survived by her children, Terry (Jeff) Martin of Modesto, Toni Williams of Manteca, Teresa (Jerry) Meloy of Moline, Kans., Travis Wallace, Tracy Wallace, both of Riverbank; siblings, Mari Lou Steeley, Ginger Walker, Linda (Jerry) Armstrong, all of Riverbank, Gary (Priscilla) Nelson of Modesto; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Ray; children, Troy, Tammy, and Tyrone Wallace; her parents, Bill and Etta; and brothers, Billy, Dean, and Tommy Nelson.

A viewing was on April 11 at Riverbank Memorial Chapel, Riverbank. Services were held April 12, also at the chapel. Graveside service and reception followed.
