While the COVID pandemic shut down last season of the Riverbank Youth Baseball Softball Association (RYBSA), this year it only delayed the beginning of the season. Both baseball and softball teams gathered at Castleberg Park for Opening Day games on Saturday, May 15. There were neither ceremonies nor a parade this year, though, and Opening Day is usually in March. Last year, everything shut down just ahead of the start of the season. Players with smiling faces played to the cheers of family and friends all day on both the baseball and softball diamonds.
