The Stanislaus County Commission for Women has announced its Outstanding Women of Stanislaus County honorees for 2019.

This year’s recipients are as follows:

Outstanding Woman: Lindsey Bird (Modesto), Karlha D. Davies (Modesto), Patty Castillo Davis (Ceres), Leng Power (Salida), Vielka Solano (Modesto), Lise Talbot (Waterford), and Janice Vella (Modesto).

Outstanding Young Woman: Carma Mize (Modesto), Gabrielle Sotomayor (Turlock).

Woman Living Pioneer: Hanna Renning (Turlock).

Woman of History: Alberta Martone (deceased, formerly Modesto).

Awards will be presented at a brunch on Saturday, March 9 held at the Greens in Modesto, 953 10th St.

The event begins at 10 a.m. with a no-host champagne bar and buffet brunch following at 10:30 a.m. The awards program begins at 11 a.m.

Cost is $35 per person, and pre-paid reservations are required.
