Parks, Rec Department offers summer camps

The Riverbank Parks and Recreation Department has organized its schedule for summer camp sessions for local youth.

The full day camps will be held from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with registration open to children from six to 12 years of age. Camps will run for four days each.

The first session begins on Monday, June 10 and runs through Thursday, June 14, themed Outdoor Fun Camp. June 17 through 21 features All About Art Camp, June 24 through 28 will have a theme of Under the Sea, and July 8 through 12 will be themed Party in the USA. Outdoor Fun will be staged at Jacob Myers Park; the remaining three camps will be hosted at the Riverbank Teen Center.

There are also mini camps scheduled for youngsters three- to five-years-old, running from 9 a.m. to noon. Those camps are scheduled for June 17 through 20, themed Watch Me Grow; June 24 through 27 is Safari; Mini Science Camp is the theme for July 8 through 11 and Sports Camp runs from July 15 through 18. All mini camps will be hosted at the Scout Hall.

Cost for the full day program is $125 for Riverbank residents, and $135 for non-residents. The mini camps cost $40.
