Police Plan Barbecue, ‘Cop Shop’ Fundraiser
RPS bbq

Riverbank Police Services are hosting a fundraiser for the annual Shop with a Cop event and will be selling tickets for that upcoming dinner at this weekend’s Centennial Celebration. They have collaborated with Cool Hand Luke’s once again for dine in or take out, with the fundraiser set on Tuesday, Nov. 1 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. The dinner ticket is $20 and includes a choice of one entrée, BBQ chicken, 7 oz. sirloin, or half-slab of ribs served with salad, dinner rolls, and campfire beans. They have had great success with this fundraiser so they are starting early and will be selling tickets at the Sheriff’s booth on Saturday, Aug. 20 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Centennial Celebration at the downtown Plaza on Third Street.

For more information and tickets, call 209-869-7162.

There will also be a free Community Barbecue for Riverbank residents hosted by Riverbank Police Services on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Silva Park, 5800 Antique Rose Way. Specialized teams like the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Air Support, K9 Team, Bomb Squad, and SWAT Team will be present along with RPS Chief Ed Ridenour and members of the Riverbank City Council.

This special free barbecue lunch is open to all and community residents are encouraged to attend.
