Police Report Public Intoxication, DUIs And Warrant Arrests

Deputies with Riverbank Police Services have reported making a few arrests this past week.

A traffic enforcement stop was made on a vehicle on Monday for vehicle code violations. The driver displayed signs of being under the influence of alcohol. Following sobriety tests, the 29-year-old was arrested and booked for driving under the influence.

On Sunday, Aug. 30 deputies observed Joseph Boatman, 28, walking out of the Tobacco City store on Patterson Road and they had knowledge he was wanted on a felony warrant. Boatman was placed under arrest and booked for the warrant.

Deputies responded to the 2800 block of Morrill Road for a traffic collision on Friday night. Once on scene they contacted a subject who stated he was driving the vehicle at the time of the collision. The man showed obvious signs of being under the influence. He was arrested for driving under the influence of drugs.

Later that evening deputies responded to a call of a suspicious person in the parking lot near Starbucks on Claribel Road in Riverbank. Deputies contacted a 28-year-old woman, who was yelling and swinging her arms. She consented to a search of her fanny pack. Deputies found an empty syringe, a glass methamphetamine pipe, and what appeared to be methamphetamine inside the pack. The woman was arrested and booked into jail.

Deputies were dispatched to the 2600 block of Sierra Street on Friday due to a report of a drunk female banging on the door of residence. When deputies arrived they located a 53-year-old woman who was extremely intoxicated and unable to care for herself. She was arrested for public intoxication and transported to jail.

Shortly thereafter, deputies were dispatched to another call with a report of a woman flashing her breasts and yelling at passing vehicles on the 2800 block of Patterson Road. Her behavior was consistent with someone under the influence of drugs. The 29-year-old woman was deemed unable to care for her own safety, she was placed under arrest for public intoxication and transported to jail.

Also on Friday, a 29-year-old man was arrested and booked into the public safety center for driving under the influence of an alcoholic beverage after deputies were dispatched to a possible traffic accident. When deputies arrived they observed the man sitting in the driver’s seat of his car with front end damage. They quickly determined he was under the influence of alcohol.
