Public Intoxication, Burglary Lead To Arrests

Riverbank Police Services had several calls for service last week that included public intoxication, burglary, and recovery of a stolen vehicle.

On the evening of Saturday, April 24, deputies were dispatched to the 3800 block of Prince Andrew Drive regarding a family dispute. A 41-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication.

Deputies investigated a potential child abuse case on River Mesa Drive during the morning on Thursday, April 22 with one arrest reported.

On Thursday evening, the community resource deputy followed up on a sex offender who failed to report he was living within the city. Identified as Ruben Aguilar, 42, the subject was arrested for the felony charge of failing to register.

Late in the evening on Thursday, deputies arrested a 36-year-old man for residential burglary in the 2300 block of Nature Court.

On Wednesday, April 21, deputies stopped a stolen vehicle in the 6300 block of Oakdale Road. Jonathan Wheatley, 45, was arrested for possession of a stolen vehicle.

Around noon on Wednesday, deputies were dispatched to a family dispute on Equine Court where they found a 32-year-old man to be under the influence of drugs and found to be in possession of illegal drug paraphernalia. A struggle ensued during the man’s arrest and after a few minutes he was taken into custody. He was charged with resisting arrest, probation violation, and possession of paraphernalia.

During the evening on Wednesday, deputies stopped Anthony Chaidez, 21, in the 5900 block of Newbrook Circle. He was arrested for an outstanding felony warrant.

Deputies were dispatched to a dispute in the 2700 block of Coad Lane late in the evening on Tuesday, April 20. A 24-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication.

During the early evening on Monday, April 19, deputies received a report of a male passed out in a vehicle near Harness Court and Glow Road. Deputies located a 22-year-old inside the vehicle under the influence of drugs and in possession of a handgun. He was arrested for illegal possession of the firearm and DUI.
