Red Tie Arts is proud to announce the winter benefit concert series. Four great carefully selected groups to perform in the small intimate space that is much reminiscent of a jazz club you might find in New York or Paris.
Treat yourselves to some fine music events and help some underserved children discover the right path to adulthood through music and the arts. On Saturday, Jan. 11 the doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the show will begin at 7:30 p.m. bringing guests the Brazilian music and rhythms of Boca do Rio.
All winter concerts in this series are being hosted in the little cellar theater of the McHenry Museum, 1401 I St., in downtown Modesto. Boca do Rio is musicá organica – live music played live. It is inspired by the thousands of musicians and the music lovers that have gone before us and laid the rhythmic foundations of samba, baião, samba-reggae, the dances for the orishas, and all that gives homage to the beats.
Ticket purchases and attendance benefits the Red Tie Kids program where underserved children with talent and appreciation for music are served. Red Tie Arts also provides additional lessons (Outside of the Classroom) with the best and most experienced musicians in the area, featuring professional one on one instruction and encouragement.
