A not so normal Sunday for Riverbank Police Services Sergeant MacKinnon and Deputy Bavaro saw them involved in a rescue of this little furry feline. The kitten was stuck in a sewer drain off of Turpin Avenue on Sunday afternoon, June 16 when Bavaro and MacKinnon heard the cries. Since animal control did not have any reports for this missing kitten, Sgt. MacKinnon decided to take him home. After his wife approved of the new family member, the rescued kitten was named Elton and became an unofficial Father’s Day gift for the local law enforcement officer.
