Resource Fair slated for area farmworkers

The Riverbank Community Center will be the site for a Farmworker Resource Fair on April 20.

The Riverbank Community Center, at 3600 Santa Fe, will be the site for a Farmworker Resource Fair, scheduled for Saturday, April 20.

Hours for the event are 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., the fair is being put on by Stanislaus County and the CVOC – Central Valley Opportunity Center – Farmworker Resource Center.

The goal of the day is to provide a variety of useful information, with organizers describing the effort as “Community partners uniting for the farmworker community.”

Information will be offered on CVOC Direct Services including rental assistance, utility assistance, and vocational trainings. There will also be food boxes distributed, referrals, information on community resources and food offered at a taco truck on site.
