Riverbank High students have chosen candidates for their Spring Homecoming Queen and King and will recognize the winners in ceremonies slated for Thursday and Friday of this week.
Candidates for the girls' title include Kasie Albers, Irene Castillo, Karina Duarte, Liz Gomez and Janette Ruiz.
The boys competing for the King title are Evan Gunther, Kevin So, Jose Ramos, Octavio Vigil and Frank Villasenor.
The King will be announced on Thursday, Jan. 17 during an intramural boys dodge ball game slated to start at 7 p.m. in the gym.
The Queen will be named during halftime of the home varsity basketball game on Friday, Jan. 18 against Hughson.
Candidates for King and Queen were announced at a student rally Jan. 11 that also saw a fashion show staged by the students.
There are dress days scheduled this week. Tuesday was for witches, wizards and warlocks.Today will feature wet suits, board shorts and beach attire. Friday will feature an afternoon rally to rouse enthusiam for the game and festivities that evening.
