For those families who might find themselves pressed for time, there are two opportunities to enjoy a good meal while supporting student activities at Riverbank High School this month.
The first comes on Thursday, Oct. 18, when the RHS Music Department presents a tasty dinner plate of ribs, pulled pork, a side dish, drink and dessert. This tasty food will cost just $16, and will be available for pick up at the campus from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Orders are due soon, so band and guard members should be contacted regarding tickets or call the school for additional information.
The second opportunity will happen the very next week, when the Bruin Athletic Boosters cook dinner for you and your family. It’s their annual Tri-Tip Drive-Thru Dinner on Tuesday, Oct. 23.
The family-sized dinners can be picked up starting at 3:30 p.m., at Room 206, just off the west parking lot.
This time, the menu starts with a whole Tri-Tip from O’Brien’s and includes a bag of salad, 32 ounces of ranch beans, rolls and cookies, all for $40. Those interested can purchase just the tri-tip for $20.
Organizers of this mouth-watering meal include Carlos Aguilera and Kimi Jennings, but they say anyone interested in participating can contact a Bruins Booster member. Or they can contact them by e-mail: athleticboosters2016@gmail.
There is an order and payment deadline of Oct. 19. Organizers probably can be contacted in the snack bar at any home athletic event, especially the last home football game on Friday, Oct. 19, to get your order placed.
