Yes, they’re back; they have been on the job all along but now city staffers are ready to serve the public in person. Residents who have business to conduct with Riverbank city officials should now be able to actually go inside the offices of city hall.
With the loosening of public health restrictions throughout the State of California as of June 15, those local officials announced last week they were reopening city hall, effective Wednesday, June 16.
The opening does come with a few changes, though.
The new office hours for city hall are 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
And where, in the pre-COVID universe, city hall was closed every other Friday, now, it will be closed every Friday.
Open Monday through Thursday, that offers four days a week where the public can conduct its business.
The on-site, open-to-the-public Riverbank City Council meetings are expected to return in July, according to City Manager Sean Scully.
