As businesses continue to fill available spaces in the Crossroads West shopping center, the latest was recently announced.

According to city leaders, they have received official notification that Trader Joe’s has been confirmed as part of the Crossroads West development. The new store is slated to move in next to Hobby Lobby

“This is an exciting milestone for Riverbank and a major addition to the Crossroads West project. Bringing in a nationally recognized grocer like Trader Joe’s means more shopping options, more convenience for our residents, and continued economic growth for our city,” officials said in a statement released Tuesday morning, March 3. “We’re proud to see Crossroads West continue to take shape and attract businesses our community has been asking for.”

In other city news, officials issued a reminder to residents that a scheduled sewer rate adjustment – part of a five-year plan – took effect at the beginning of the year and the change will be reflected on the bills that were just mailed out on Monday, March 2.

This is the fourth adjustment under the five-year plan and the bi-monthly rate will be increasing by $27.64 – going from $162.60 to $190.24, with the final adjustment scheduled for 2027. That will be a $28.54 increase, said officials.
